mmWave radar detects people even when sitting still or sleeping, so lights and aircon don't switch off on you. Heat and ceiling fans can confuse ordinary motion sensors in the Top End, which radar handles better.

In the Top End the aircon runs most of the year: pre-cool before you get home, switch it off in empty rooms and control it with automations. Plug-in (USB) and battery devices only; anything that needs hardwiring into an air conditioner must be done by a licensed electrician.
